July 11th, 2006 ScottIs it just me, or has the quality of the ebuilds in Gentoo been in decline lately? Lately I’ve been encountering numerous compile errors, digest errors, and programs that compile successfully but crash on startup. (KMail, Kontact) I’m willing to overlook some of my KDE related issues since I am running the unstable version of those packages, but I expect more out of the ebuilds that have been marked stable. Hopefully this is something that the Gentoo devs will resolve soon.
