Actually, that last post isn’t quite true. Next month begins the greatest sporting event in the world, World Cup 2006! On Friday I’m going to see U.S.A. vs. Venezuela at Cleveland Browns Stadium. This will be one of the final warmup games the U.S. team will play before going to Germany. I’m very excited! The last time I saw the U.S. team play was the qualifier vs. Mexico last September.
The World Cup runs from June 9th to July 9th. During that month long stretch I will be mostly useless. On a side note, it looks like I will have the opportunity to play a bit of soccer myself this summer. The Chapel sports ministry will be having a second session this summer, (I’ll post a link when it becomes available) I’ll be participating in a 4-on-4 tournament two weekends in July and I will hopefully be playing on a team in the Akron open league this fall.
I’ve been neglecting my little space here the past month. I’ve been busy ramping up for my new job. That’s been keeping me very busy. I’m also playing in the soccer and floor hockey leagues at The Chapel. On top of that, my birthday is coming up this weekend. Once I get through this month, things should finally start to settle down a little, so I should be able to post more often.
