An interesting article has appeared on Microsoft Watch. Rumor has it that Longhorn will not be built using the .NET Framework after all. The ‘Dirty Little Secret’ About Longhorn has all the details. More and more it appears that Longhorn will be nothing more than a refresh of XP with a couple of shiny new buttons. (Avalon and Indigo) Hardly the operating system of the future that Microsoft has been touting.
In a similar vein as BackPack, I stumbled upon a new service called JotSpot. The site bills it as an “application wiki”. Currently, the application is in beta, but they do offer free accounts to beta testers.
Looks interesting. I need to make time to check this one out.
The highly anticipated personal information tool BackPack has launched. So far I’ve managed to create a free account, but at them moment the service is being swamped by users so really working with the system will have to wait until the initial rush dies down.
